Vincent Galarneau is a multidisciplinary practionner. Trained in ecology, anthropology and sculpture, he is passionate about photography. With his camera, he explores the landscape at multiple scales and nurtures his infinite curiosity.
Based in Quebec, Canada, he has made several study tour in Europe, the US and Central America, where he has focused his photographic attention on urban forms, agriculture and biodiversity.

He is the founder of Microtextures, an online art gallery dedicated to experimental macro and micro photography. His current photographic project, The Secret Life of Fluids, aims to unveil the complex and life-like patterns generated by fluid interactions.
In addition to his art, Vincent is an author, speaker and environmental consultant involved in the development of sustainable communities. He dwells in his small forest farm on the edge of the Laurentian mountains.

His goal is to change the way we perceive our environment so that we can find beauty and meaning all around us, even is the smallest things. That sense of connectedness to our most intimate environment is a key to enjoy our everyday life on this planet.
Vincent Galarneau est un praticien multidisciplinaire. Formé en sciences de l'environnement, en anthropologie et en sculpture, il utilise aujourd'hui la photographie pour explorer le paysage à différentes échelles et nourrir sa curiosité infinie.
De l'astrophoto à la microphotographie, il s’intéresse tout particulièrement aux motifs complexes qui tapissent les surfaces des milieux anthropiques et naturels. Il a réalisé quelques missions d’études aux États-Unis, en Europe et au Costa Rica où il a porté son regard photographique sur les formes urbaines, l'agriculture et la biodiversité.
Sa pratique artistique récente se concentre sur la macrophotographie aux limites du visible. Il a notamment développé une technique pour photographier le mouvement intime des fluides en interaction d'où il tire des paysages miniatures, des portraits aquatiques et des textures inusitées.
Parallèlement à sa pratique artistique, Vincent poursuit une carrière de conseiller en environnement. Il est auteur, conférencier et habite une petite ferme forestière au pied du massif laurentien, au Nord de la Ville de Québec, au Canada.
